You can travel far and wide but we’re all looking up at that one sun, it really is a wonder it can look so uniquely different from another perspective in a new place. I am a sucker for a beautiful sunset, it forces you to take a minute and witness that magical moment as glorious warm tones of colour emerge and descend beyond the horizon. If you’re a sunset chaser here’s a few places for the hit list…
Colonia Del Sacramento, Uruguay
A sleepy old colonial town on the southern coast of Uruguay just across the Río de la Plata river (I know hard to believe it’s not the sea!) from Buneos Aires, Argentina. There’s something about the sky in Uruguay, it feels bizarrely close, like if you had a big enough ladder you could clamber up and touch it.

Udaipur, India – “City of Lakes”
A beautiful city, set amidst the Aravalli Ranges of Rajasthan, India. Unlike the arid desert terrain of much of Rajasthan, Udaipur’s lush green landscape and picturesque lakes offer a refreshing change of scenery. This view is from the Lalit Laxmi Vila Palace, built by his Highness Maharana Fateh Singh in 1911. The palace has been converted into a luxury heritage hotel and is well worth the splurge! If only to take in this breathtaking sunset over the man-made Fateh Sagar Lake.

Salar de Uyuni (Salt Flats) Bolivia
One of the flattest places on earth and the widest salt flat in the world at about 12,000 sq km. It was formed when a prehistoric lake once covering most of southwest Bolivia dried up, leaving a thick salted crust. An idyllic landscape for a spectacular sunset….

Where in the world do you love to watch the sunset?…….
